Real followers vs bots: what's the difference and what to choose

The catalog of any SMM panel has dozens of follower options, from a few cents to a few dollars per 1000. The difference is not only the price: they look different, last differently and affect your stats differently. We explain honestly so you can choose consciously.
Types of followers
Basic accounts (cheapest). Profiles with no posts or minimal setup. Good for quickly raising the number. The downside is higher drop: social networks periodically clean such accounts out.
Accounts with a profile (mid-range). An avatar, a name, a few posts. They look more natural in the followers list, and drop is lower.
Active / geo accounts (pricier). Accounts from a specific country (USA, Europe, Ukraine) with an activity history. They blend best with a real audience, but cost more.
How followers affect reach
- A moderate number at the start helps new visitors trust the profile and follow.
- A very large number of inactive ones can lower ER (engagement): 50,000 followers and 50 likes per post looks suspicious to both people and advertisers.
That is why proportion matters: followers, likes and views should grow together. For risks, see the article how to reduce risks for your account.
What to choose for your goal
| Goal | What to choose |
|---|---|
| A new profile, a quick start | inexpensive followers with a refill guarantee |
| A business profile, trust matters | accounts with a profile, low drop |
| A profile for ads in the right geo | geo followers (for example, Ukraine or Europe) |
| A blog for brand collaborations | moderate volumes + activity on posts |
What are drop and guarantee
Drop is the share of followers that disappears over time. It exists in all options but differs: higher in cheap ones, lower in expensive ones. A refill guarantee lets you get the drop refilled for free during the guarantee period. More details in the article about the guarantee and refill.
How to read a service description
Pay attention to start, speed, max, guarantee and geo — all of it is given in the service name. An explanation of each item is in the article how to read a service description.

Questions & answers
Are there "fully real" followers?
Services promising "100% real people who will buy from you" are misleading. Real customers come through content and advertising; SMM services are a boost to social proof.
Does a cheap option affect reach worse than an expensive one?
What matters is proportions and volume. A small number of any followers at the start does no harm, while a large mass of inactive ones can lower engagement.
